Pakistan as a nation has been unable
to emerge from the plethora of
complications plaguing its education
sector. Its lack of structure,
productive creativity and innovation
has left it stagnant and decaying.
In other words, our education system
is near ruination.

explores the various dimensions of
quality education as an integral
part of the growth of Pakistan not
only as a nation, but also as a
society made up of individuals. By
doing so, it undertakes a logical
path through which it strives to
recognize shortcomings in the
prevailing education system. The
book identifies and assesses the
factors that make the education
system incompetent to the demands of
progress. It then ventures to
formulate ways of overcoming these
failures by identifying what quality
education would entail and by
considering this with regards to
what can be done, proposes a course
of action in light of SAHE’s aims
and experience regarding the issue.

the nature of the problem and its
significance in ways to engage the
non-specialist. It is a book that

these needs and also to the
potential of change.
