 Abstract

Complete with fun, vivid illustrations by Sarah Hameed, this book has been written for very young children within the context of the UN convention on child rights, focusing on issues such as religious diversity, violence at school, gender disparity, child labor and tolerance. Each colorful picture and subsequent caption depicts different situations aimed at enabling children to identify themselves as a part of society. This picture book further seeks to help children to identify with other children, and thereby learn to respect each other and feel the urge to learn from, and about, one another.
